This plant, which usually reaches a height of 30-60 cm, has gray-green, finely hairy and oval-shaped leaves. The leaves contain a lot of essential oil and have a distinct odor.  Sage (Medicinal) blooms in purple, blue or white flowers in summer, which are collected in a spike at the top of the plant.

Sage (Medicinal) Hydrosol is an aromatic water obtained by steam distillation from the leaves of the plant Salvia officinalis.   • Thujone (0.5-1.5%): With antimicrobial and antifungal properties, thujone is an important component in hydrosol.

  • Camphor (0.5-1.5%): This component, which has muscle relaxant and antiseptic properties, is present in the hydrosol.
  • Rosmarinic acid (0.1-0.3%): Known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, rosmarinic acid is present in low amounts in the hydrosol.
