Origin: Anatolian Sage is a plant that can grow in temperate northern latitudes, although its homeland is the Mediterranean Region. The main feature of this semi-shrub plant is its velvety, gray-green leaves.

About Oil: There is 2-3% essential oil in the plant. The main component of the essential oil is 1,8-cineole, and its ratio in the essential oil varies between 35-65%. It is not a problem to use in a small dose (2-3 drops in a 5 ml basic mixture or in 50 ml body oil mixtures and mouthwashes). This also applies to the use of sage juice.

Sage oil is a powerful anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, deodorizing and skin regenerative for the body; it is also mentally relaxing and concentration-enhancing.

Caution: Sage oil should be used with caution due to its neurotoxic effects and properties that cause miscarriage during pregnancy.
